FIRST VISIT
What happens on your first visit?
The most important part of dental treatment is preventing disease before it starts. At your initial appointment we will take a complete medical and dental history, check your blood pressure, and conduct a thorough exam of your mouth to detect any evidence of decay or gum disease. A TMJ (jaw joint) exam and bite analysis will also be done.
In addition, a complete oral cancer screening will be performed on all tissues in and around your mouth. Necessary films will be taken so that we can detect any abnormalities or areas of decay not visible to the naked eye. Facial and oral photos may be taken for identification and treatment purposes. Any further appointments required for additional dental treatment and your financial options will be explained before you leave our office.
We welcome you to our practice and look forward to meeting you at your first appointment!
